Our purpose is to encourage creativity, nurture a sense of wonder, and to challenge all to learn in new and innovative ways.
We can't do this without volunteers! A typical time commitment would be a minimum of four hours per month. Depending on your availability however, alternatives could be arranged.
You also benefit!
Hundreds of smiles.
Meet new and interesting people.
Share your talents.
Earn a family membership.
Teach a child.
What can I do to help? Glad you asked! Here are some of the ways people help make the museum run:
Discovery Guides greet visitors, direct them to exhibits and special programs, facilitate interaction and answer questions at specific exhibits.
Special Program Facilitators will assist at events of all kinds -- birthday parties, for example!
Office Support will help organize mailing and assist with data entry and perform other general office functions.
Maintenance Volunteers will help with the upkeep of the exhibits.
Program Teachers are volunteers with a skill or special interest that could be offered as a program. If you can help, please let us know!
