MDM goes BIG for Art Walk, Open Late, Reduced Admission!

Maine Discovery Museum to host artists’ Nicole Pelletier, Rebecca Krupke & a 10th Annual Auction Preview Gallery for DBAC Art Walk,  special after hours admission price, all 3 floors open!

Bangor, MaineMaine Discovery Museum will be participating in the next Downtown Bangor Arts Collaborative (DBAC) November art walk on Friday, November 16, 2012 with two exhibiting artists and a preview gallery for the 10th Annual Auction & Dinner Gala, being held Saturday, November 17th at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bangor.  Additionally, MDM will open its doors after hours at a reduced admission of $5!
 

All three floors of Maine’s largest children’s museum north of Boston will remain open after hours until 8:30 p.m with a special admission rate of $5 after 5p.m, a reduction of $2.50 from the regular general admission fee. Admission for museum members is free as always.  Maine Discovery Museum is proud to exhibit two artists and to host a public Preview Gallery for the over 80 works of art donated by Maine artists for their Annual Auction.

Main Street Gallery- First floor. A special Preview Gallery of over 80 participating Maine artists is currently available for public viewing.  These artists exhibit talents in a vast array of media.  Stop in, view the gallery and even submit absentee bids on items of your choice!

Lobby-First Floor.  Maine Discovery Museum welcomes back Maine artist Rebecca Krupke for a special art walk installation! Krupke is a visual artist currently residing in Bangor. She has exhibited twenty International and National Juried Exhibitions throughout the United States, Canada, Ireland and Italy, as well as numerous publications. Snack Room Gallery-Second Floor. Nicole Pelletier (ShadowMonsterBear) is a Los Angeles based artist & designer with Maine roots. Her works of bright color and featured personalities are created using spray-paint and acrylics.  Her works have been on exhibit at Maine Discovery Museum since October 1 and will remain available for viewing until the end of the month.
