Dig times are scheduled for 20 minutes to accommodate all of our friends. Follow the fossil footprints to Maine Discovery Museum’s newest exhibit: DINO DIG! What could these creatures be like to leave tracks like that? Follow the footprints to the third floor and find the answers! Based on paleontology, the study of prehistoric life, DINO DIG has been created to give museum visitors a glimpse into the work of a paleontologist. Dig for dino bone replicas that are true in size and color to what you might find at a real dig site! We’ve got plenty of dino bones and other paleontological treasures for you to discover, so the Dig Pit contents will change each month. Don’t forget to visit DINO DIG on your return visit to MDM!
