My Day to Play

My Day to Play at MDM - a special program for children on the Autism Spectrum

Please join us for “My Day to Play,” a program designed to provide children on the autism spectrum with a safe, comfortable environment to explore and to give families who face similar challenges a place to connect. The program was developed by lead volunteer Rosalyn Fisher, a retired occupational therapist experienced in working with children on the spectrum, and MDM’s director of education, Trudi Plummer.
 
When:
  • January 8th, 2017 4:30-6:00pm
  • January 22nd, 2017 4:30-6:00pm
  • February 12th, 2017 4:30-6:00pm
  • February 26th, 2017 4:30-6:00pm
  • March 12th, 2017 4:30-6:00pm
  • March 26th, 2017 4:30-6:00pm
  • April 9th, 2017 4:30-6:00pm
  • April 23rd, 2017 4:30-6:00pm

What: 
  • Quiet Sensory Discovery Boxes with some new materials each session
  • Gross Motor Sensory Play 
  • Quiet Space available
  • Different sessions of animal one-on-one and special science exploration time 
Who:
  • Children on the spectrum and their families
