REPTILE ROOM

We have some amazing animals at MDM and we can’t wait for you to meet them! From turtles to snakes, there’s a world of non-furry friends waiting to say “hi!”

NATURE TRAILS

Explore Maine’s ecosystems and wildlife! crawl through our huge beaver dam, and discover live wetland creatures in Turtle Alley.

RIVER IN OUR BACKYARD

The Penobscot River Watershed is a remarkable region replete with history, culture, natural resources, and stories of growth, loss, natural beauty, degradation, and renewal. The river itself tells a story of resilience, not just in terms of the fish and wildlife, but in terms of the people of this region and their collaborative approach to natural conservation and historic preservation.
